Overview

ZPMC India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Fabrication & Erection to support the execution of structural fabrication and erection activities for port equipment and heavy engineering projects. The role involves site coordination, resource planning, progress monitoring, technical drawing interpretation, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with required quality standards.

Responsibilities

1.Manage and supervise structural fabrication and erection activities at workshops and project sites.
2.Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and day-to-day site execution.
3.Monitor project progress, schedules and deliverables while coordinating with clients and internal teams.
4.Review and interpret engineering, fabrication and GA drawings and resolve technical/site issues.
5.Ensure all activities comply with approved quality requirements, safety standards and project specifications.

Requirements

1.Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection, including welding, fit-up and alignment.
2.Good understanding of lifting, rigging and safe erection practices for heavy structures and equipment.
3.Ability to read and interpret GA, fabrication and engineering drawings.
4.Strong site coordination, resource planning, progress monitoring and problem-solving skills.
5.Good communication, reporting and team coordination skills with a strong focus on safety, quality and timely delivery.

Qualification

B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
